WW Health is Offering Discounted WIAA Approved Sports Physicals
The Sports Medicine Team at Western Wisconsin Health (WW Health) is pleased to announce we are offering discounted ($25.00) WIAA approved sports physicals to area student athletes on Tuesday, July 16 at the main campus and Thursday, July 18 at the Roberts location from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
Do I need a Sports Physical?
The WIAA requires a Sports Physical form to be completed no less than every other school year and/or following a medical injury or illness serious enough to warrant a medical evaluation prior to participation. The completion of this form attests to one’s current physical fitness to participate in sports as determined by a licensed physician, Physician’s Assistant (PA), or Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP).
In the year when an examination is not required, an Alternative Year Athletic Permit Card must be signed by a parent or guardian and be on file at the school. Both cards can be found on the WIAAWI.org website under ‘Health > Forms (Physical) and Publications’, or available at your school or club.
