Dr. Terefe received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He also completed his Certificate of Masters in Public Health from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. He completed psychiatry residency training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Tyler, Texas. Dr. Terefe takes a special interest in comprehensive and holistic mental health and psychiatric care to adolescents and adults, with an emphasis in addressing substance use disorders. With professional and research interest in population health, food insecurity, health disparities, and quality improvement initiatives.
In his free time, Dr. Terefe enjoys cooking, spending time with family, volunteering, and listening to podcasts.
