Record-Breaking Attendance at the 2019 Open House!

Western Wisconsin Health (WW Health) hosted their Annual Community Open House Celebration on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. It was a record-breaking year, estimated at over 1,300 in attendance!

At Healthy Hank’s Outdoor Celebration, The Eatery served a delicious meal that consisted of sandwiches and healthy sides. Live music was provided by local musical group Emily and Friends. Police and Baldwin Area EMS vehicles were onsite for tours and the Sheriff’s Posse brought some beautiful horses for guests to meet. Families enjoyed dancing with mascot Healthy Hank, jumping and sliding in the bounce house, face-painting with Baldwin Royalty, and meeting superheroes from Occasions with Character. Suzanne Wynveen Photography was there to capture all the amazing memories!

Inside the Atrium, there were displays about services and health care partners. Guests had a chance to meet with providers and the integrative health team. ADORAY Home Health & Hospice offered free Dementia Live demonstrations and the ADRC also performed free memory screenings for visitors. The Optical Shop offered guests adjustments and cleanings for their eye glasses. WW Health’s partners including ADORAY Home Health and Hospice, ADRC, American Red Cross, American Tissue Services Foundation (ATSF), Associated Eye Care, Baldwin Care Center, Cancer Center of Western Wisconsin, Emergency Care Consultants (ECC), Family Resource Center, LifeLink, Region’s Hospital, and Turningpoint had displays at the medical center.

Bricks from the old hospital were available through the Foundation for a free will donation. If you are still interested in obtaining a brick, please contact Rosa Magnus at 715-684-1596 or rosa.magnus@wwhealth.org.

Community members were also able to see and try out a demo of the new Da Vinci surgical robot and learn more about this exciting new option. Shorter surgical times, less invasive procedures, and faster recovery are just a few of the benefits this option will provide our patients. The first robotic surgery was performed on June 10 following the opening.

WW Health held a drawing for prizes including a Fire Tablet, Fitbit Alta, 1-Year Fitness Center Membership, Integrative Health Gift Certificate, Slammo Game, BlendJet Portable Blender, Restful Sleep System, Camping Backpack, and ADORAY Gift Basket. Participants that signed up for MyChart at the event were also entered into a drawing to win a gift card for HelloFresh.
